Work Samples - Grade C

The work samples for this grade, together, assist teachers to gain a common understanding of the standard of work typically produced by students whose performance, on balance, matches the description for Grade C.

At the end of Stage 5 for the School Certificate, student achievement is reported using the Course Performance Descriptors. Read more about School Certificate Grading.

Activity: Timber Core Module 2 - Trinket Box (View Activity…)

Students will produce a timber trinket box using a selected range of exotic timbers.


Activity: Metal Specialised Module 3 - Individual Decorative Piece (View Activity…)

Students will use insects as a theme to design and produce a decorative metal item that utilises non-ferrous metals.


Activity: Engineering Specialised Module 3 - Control System Flow Chart (View Activity…)

Students will use presentation software to produce a logic flow chart for an alarm system to alert people that a door has been left open.


Activity: Bracelet Design (View Activity…)

Students design a feature for a bracelet that includes a stone setting.


Activity: Timber Major Project (View Activity…)

Students plan, develop and construct a quality practical project in the Timber focus area.


Activity: Animation Activity (View Activity…)

Students create an interactive flash movie that shows four changing expressions on the face of an original cartoon character.


Grade C

The student has a sound knowledge and understanding of the main areas of content and has achieved an adequate level of competence in the processes and skills.
