Work Samples - Grade B

The work samples for this grade, together, assist teachers to gain a common understanding of the standard of work typically produced by students whose performance, on balance, matches the description for Grade B.

Activity: Narrative (View Activity…)

Students plan, draft and write a narrative using visual stimulus.


Activity: Information report on an animal (View Activity…)

Students draft and publish an information report on an animal.


Activity: Oral presentations (View Activity…)

Students prepare and deliver a two-minute oral presentation on a topic of their choice.

Students write an explanation about how a torch works.


Activity: Information report on a planet (View Activity…)

Students research a planet in our solar system, select relevant facts and write an information report.


Grade B

The student has a thorough knowledge and understanding of the content and a high level of competence in the processes and skills. In addition, the student is able to apply this knowledge and these skills to most situations.
