There are no Work Samples available for this Activity.
Description of activity
This activity allows students to develop the management skills required to create quality textile items across all focus areas. Students are required to document planning strategies to ensure the completion of quality textile items.
Students complete a management plan, identifying proposed activities for a set time frame prior to the lessons. They will implement their management strategies and reflect on their individual process of design and production. This activity can be undertaken by students at any appropriate time throughout the development of the textile project.
Students learn about:
- management of project work
- evaluation of the quality of textile items in relation to
- design
- construction
Students learn to:
- plan and organise the stages involved in the design and production of a textile item to ensure quality completion
- evaluate the textile items during designing and producing using techniques such as self-evaluation
Context
Students have a prior knowledge in designing and constructing textile projects. They have managed a range of design and production learning experiences to completion. Students can recognise that appropriate time and resource management skills will ensure the production of a quality textile item.
