Description of activity
Design brief
A small to medium family–owned business manufactures gourmet pies with a variety of different fillings, both sweet and savoury. The business wishes to increase its market share and has approached you to design and create a new gourmet pie that will help improve the company’s profitability.
Students are required to research, plan, design and market a line enhancement for a new gourmet pie.
Context
In this unit students have been studying content from the Food Product Development focus area. They have examined the reason for developing food products and explored the processes in food product development.
