Other Work Samples for:
Pat has demonstrated sound knowledge and understanding of the structure and features of a narrative. There is a clear orientation followed by a sequence of events but the complication is weak and the conclusion does not effectively resolve the issue. There is good use of descriptive language and humour to engage the reader but an over-reliance on direct speech detracts from the narrative as a whole. There is effective use of capitals for emphasis but some words have been overused. There is a lack of complex sentences and the punctuation is inconsistent. To improve, Pat could provide detail on the setting of the scene, use complex sentences and revise punctuation conventions for dialogue.
