Nicky has demonstrated a limited level of competence in representing two-dimensional shapes and using positional language. A basic map has been drawn and labelled but there is little use of positional language to describe objects in relation to one another. To progress further, Nicky could describe the positions of objects in more detail and use more positional language. This work sample demonstrates characteristics of work typically produced by a student performing at grade D standard at the end of Stage 1.
