Can-do Trigonometry - Xiang : Grade Commentary
Xiang has demonstrated sound knowledge and understanding of trigonometric ratios in relation to right-angled triangles. The diagrams are correct and the use of mathematical language is appropriate but the definitions of angles of elevation and depression are inaccurate. Some examples are not accompanied by solutions but formulas for the ratios are correctly stated and there is evidence of an adequate level of competence in performing the calculations. This work sample demonstrates characteristics of work typically produced by a student performing at grade C standard midway through Stage 5.
