Jessie has demonstrated the ability to graph data accurately using headings, labels and symbols in a variety of graphs. Two different scales have been used and most of the measurements are accurate. A good range of interpretations has been provided and a thorough knowledge of graphing skills is evident despite some inaccuracy in the computer graph. This work sample demonstrates characteristics of work typically produced by a student performing at grade B standard at the end of Stage 3.

The student has a thorough knowledge and understanding of the content and a high level of competence in the processes and skills. In addition, the student is able to apply this knowledge and these skills to most situations.

    Students select and use the appropriate unit to estimate, measure and calculate length, area, volume, capacity and mass. They use 24-hour time in real-life situations and construct timelines. Students draw and interpret a variety of graphs using a scale.
