Other Work Samples for:

Reese has demonstrated an adequate level of competence in organising musical ideas into a composition. A variety of tuned and untuned instruments have been used, and improvisation has been included. The piece has a well-organised introduction and ending but the middle section weakens the overall structure. The drum ostinato is consistently played, but the rhythms and melodies notated are not replicated in the performance. There is sound understanding of musical concepts but little evidence of dynamics in the composition. This work sample demonstrates characteristics of work typically produced by a student performing at grade C standard at the end of Stage 3.

Grade C

The student has a sound knowledge and understanding of the main areas of content and has achieved an adequate level of competence in the processes and skills.
