Pat has demonstrated a high level of competence in using techniques and form to convey meaning. Negative focus has been effectively used and there is some evidence of risk-taking as shown in the eyes. The print differs from the lino cut, possibly due to imprecise cutting or uneven ink application, but there is some evidence of experimentation and the subject’s personality is clearly shown. This work sample demonstrates characteristics of work typically produced by a student performing at grade B standard at the end of Stage 3.
