Money Matters - Sascha : Grade Commentary
Sascha has demonstrated a very limited level of competence in sorting, ordering and counting money. Two accurate equivalent amounts for twenty cents have been demonstrated using coins of different denominations, but higher amounts have not been accurately represented. An attempt has been made to use diagrams to represent problems but change from a dollar has not been calculated. To improve, Sascha could provide examples of equivalent amounts for fifty cents and a dollar, and consolidate understanding of the subtraction process. This work sample demonstrates characteristics of work typically produced by a student performing at grade E standard at the end of Stage 1.
Grade E
The student has an elementary knowledge and understanding in few areas of the content and has achieved very limited competence in some of the processes and skills.
