Bobby has demonstrated a very high level of competence in sorting, ordering and counting money. A wide variety of equivalent amounts have been demonstrated using coins of different denominations. Mental strategies and mixed operations have been used to accurately solve problems, including calculating change, and record solutions. This work sample demonstrates characteristics of work typically produced by a student performing at grade A standard midway through Stage 1.

Grade A

The student has an extensive knowledge and understanding of the content and can readily apply this knowledge. In addition, the student has achieved a very high level of competence in the processes and skills and can apply these skills to new situations.
