Money Matters - Alex : Grade Commentary
Alex has demonstrated a very high level of competence in sorting, ordering and counting money. A variety of equivalent amounts have been demonstrated using coins of different denominations. Change from one dollar has been correctly calculated, and the number line shows the strategies that have been used. The response could be enhanced by the inclusion of mathematical working for each problem. This work sample demonstrates characteristics of work typically produced by a student performing at grade A standard midway through Stage 1.
Grade A
The student has an extensive knowledge and understanding of the content and can readily apply this knowledge. In addition, the student has achieved a very high level of competence in the processes and skills and can apply these skills to new situations.
