Huong has demonstrated a very high level of competence in using a variety of artistic techniques to represent figurative forms. In this carefully-considered composition, the figure has been represented in a unique, free-flowing form through the use of a photographic image that has been seamlessly integrated with the mixed media materials. Restrained use of colour and subtle tone changes knit the composition together tightly. There is a sense of the image fading from the richly-worked upper section to the gently-blurred, transparent lower section of the image. This work sample demonstrates characteristics of work typically produced by a student performing at grade A standard.
