Textile Item - Pat : Grade Commentary
Pat has designed and produced a textile item of high quality featuring creative use of colour and texture. Proficiency has been demonstrated in the choice of a range of printed cotton fabrics and the construction of patches to ensure an aesthetic and functional end product appropriate for its purpose. Pat has demonstrated a high level of competence in the selection and use of a range of techniques, including gathering and inserting a bias ruffle. Appropriate materials have been used, including suitable padding to provide shape and support to the bag. This work sample demonstrates characteristics of work typically produced by a student performing at Grade B standard.
Grade B
The student has a thorough knowledge and understanding of the content and a high level of competence in the processes and skills. In addition, the student is able to apply this knowledge and these skills to most situations.
