Jamie has designed and produced a textile item of excellent quality showing a range of creative processes and techniques. A very high level of proficiency is evident in the manipulation of materials and techniques to produce hand-felted fabric of uniform thickness with ribbon embroidery and free-hand running stitches. The functional aspect of Jamie’s bag has been successfully mastered, and the selection and use of a range of appropriate construction techniques has ensured that the item is appropriate for the purpose. This work sample demonstrates characteristics of work typically produced by a student performing at grade A standard.
