Midpoint - Shannon : Grade Commentary
Shannon has demonstrated a limited level of competence in using the midpoint formula to solve a mathematical problem. The midpoint formula has been stated and a correct pair of endpoints has been identified, but the attempt at a general formula is incorrect and there is no evidence that Shannon knows there are multiple solutions to the problem. A basic understanding of the need to reverse the formula has been shown but the attempt at applying this strategy is unsuccessful. This work sample demonstrates characteristics of work typically produced by a student performing at grade D4 standard at the end of Stage 5.
