The Pyramid of Giza - Kerry : Grade Commentary
Kerry has demonstrated thorough knowledge and understanding of volume and surface area. Appropriate strategies have been used and accurate calculations have been made. The diagrams are clear and the correct units have been used. The calculation of the slant height is accurate but rounding to five decimal places is not appropriate. A clear understanding of the practicalities of the problem is evident in the decision not to include the base as a surface requiring facing. Kerry has shown well-sequenced working and has communicated mathematical ideas effectively. This work sample demonstrates characteristics of work typically produced by a student performing at grade B8 standard at the end of Stage 5.
