Surds - Jordan : Grade Commentary
Jordan has demonstrated thorough knowledge and understanding of surds. Numerical calculations only have been used to prove or disprove the rules, and generalisations have not been made. Proof by disproof is acceptable but proof by example, as in questions 3 and 4, is faulty as one set of numbers does not prove something is correct. Jordan has not provided generalisations about additional surd properties. This work sample demonstrates characteristics of work typically produced by a student performing at grade B7 standard at the end of Stage 5.
