Midpoint - Marley : Grade Commentary
Marley has demonstrated extensive understanding of coordinate geometry. Although the midpoint formula has not been used, several accurate solutions have been found and there is a clear understanding of the midpoint concept. Although the most efficient strategy has not been used, the solutions have been well justified and there is a clear awareness of the fact that this problem has multiple solutions. This work sample demonstrates characteristics of work typically produced by a student performing at grade A standard midway through Stage 5.
Grade A
The student has an extensive knowledge and understanding of the content and can readily apply this knowledge. In addition, the student has achieved a very high level of competence in the processes and skills and can apply these skills to new situations.
