Can-do Trigonometry - Jude : Grade Commentary
Jude has demonstrated extensive knowledge and understanding of trigonometric ratios in relation to right-angled triangles. A wide range of accurate examples using the three trigonometric ratios has been presented. Sides and angles have been consistently and accurately calculated using efficient strategies. The problems are well written and accurately solved but there are no examples using division with pronumerals in the demoninator. A very high level of competence in the practical application of trigonometry is evident. This work sample demonstrates characteristics of work typically produced by a student performing at grade A standard midway through Stage 5.
Grade A
The student has an extensive knowledge and understanding of the content and can readily apply this knowledge. In addition, the student has achieved a very high level of competence in the processes and skills and can apply these skills to new situations.
