Can-do Trigonometry - Huong : Grade Commentary
Huong has demonstrated extensive knowledge and understanding of trigonometric ratios in relation to right-angled triangles. A wide range of accurate examples using the three trigonometric ratios has been presented and there is precision in the use of degrees and minutes. Sides and angles have been consistently and accurately calculated using efficient strategies. The working has been logically sequenced but clearer setting out for calculating an angle could be shown. Huong has demonstrated a clear understanding of the angle of elevation and a very high level of competence in solving problems with an unknown in the denominator. Content from different strands of the course has been successfully integrated in the creation of a question using bearings. This work sample demonstrates characteristics of work typically produced by a student performing at grade A standard midway through Stage 5.
