Feedback
The teacher will provide oral feedback during the Activity showing relationships and making further suggestions to stimulate students' thoughts and choices on selecting appropriate shares and investment strategies. At the end of each week students need reinforcement on their selection of shares. The teacher will provide written feedback and an oral debriefing at the completion of the Activity on the factors influencing students' investment decisions and their problem-solving skills. A variation might be an oral presentation by students on their share selections with peer assessment.
Future directions
Through this Activity students have developed an understanding of investing money and an overview of investment options. This learning can be applied to recognising the relationship between risk and return by investigating other investment options and a lead into the option on Investing. For further information students may access the Australian Stock Exchange website www.asx.com.au, which provides access to games and courses.
