Other Work Samples for:
Sascha has demonstrated a basic understanding of the procedure text type. Verbs have been appropriately used but the sentences are incomplete and the steps are not in chronological order. Illustrations have been included but they do not assist in conveying the meaning of the text. There is good directionality in the writing, and the letter formation is mostly correct. An awareness of spacing is evident, and strategies have been used to spell words correctly. Full stops have not been used but there is some experimentation with the use of capital letters. To progress further, Sascha could work on the construction of simple sentences and the use of full stops and capital letters. This work sample demonstrates characteristics of work typically produced by a student performing below the expected standard at the end of Kindergarten.
