Other Work Samples for:
Jerry has demonstrated an adequate awareness of the features of a recount. Ideas have been logically sequenced and past tense has been used. Conjunctions have been used to add information. There is good directionality and an emerging understanding of grammar and punctuation. Letter formation is correct except for the letter ‘p’. Phonemic awareness and copying have been used to spell words. Sight words have been included and there is some evidence of self-correction. To develop further, Jerry needs to elaborate on the event and work on correct sentence structure and punctuation. This work sample demonstrates characteristics of work typically produced by a student performing at the expected standard at the end of Kindergarten.
