Other Work Samples for:
Sam has demonstrated an excellent awareness of the features of a recount. Past tense has been consistently used and words indicating who, what, where and when have been included. Events have been sequenced and a personal comment has been included. There is good directionality and spacing, and letter formation is mostly correct. Several complex sentences have been used and the punctuation is mostly correct. A good bank of known words has been demonstrated and multi-syllable words have been included. Different strategies, such as copying words and sounding out, have been used to spell words. To develop further, Sam could work on punctuation and letter formation, and include more descriptive language. This work sample demonstrates characteristics of work typically produced by a student performing above the expected standard at the end of Kindergarten.
