Other Work Samples for:
Ricky has demonstrated an excellent awareness of the features of a recount. Ideas have been appropriately sequenced and past tense has been consistently used. Compound sentences and rich, descriptive language have been used, but there is one incomplete sentence that is out of sequence. Sight words have been incorporated and a personal comment has been made. The punctuation is mostly correct and includes the use of an exclamation mark and capitals for proper nouns. There is evidence of excellent knowledge of letter-sound relationships and correct letter formation for upper-case and lower-case letters. To develop further, Ricky could provide more detail about events and extend the use of descriptive language. This work sample demonstrates characteristics of work typically produced by a student performing above the expected standard at the end of Kindergarten.
