Eden has demonstrated a limited level of competence in composing a recount in the form of a letter. The response is reasonably fluent but the letter relies on storytelling and lacks a clear focus. The structure is disorganised and there are errors in punctuation. This work sample demonstrates characteristics of work typically produced by a student performing at grade D standard at the end of Stage 4.

The student has a basic knowledge and understanding of the content and has achieved a limited level of competence in the processes and skills.
