Description:
Students create a PowerPoint presentation of about 10 slides in which they present a typical weekday and weekend for both a teenager in an Arabic-speaking community and for a teenager in Australia. Students include daily routines, hobbies and pop cultures and make comparisons between teenage life in an Arabic-speaking community and teenage life in Australia. Students are to write in Arabic.
Context:
Students have been learning about leisure activities, hobbies, school and daily routine. They know how to express time, periods of time, use present tense, and associated vocabulary.

- present an interesting and creative PowerPoint of about 10 slides about teenage life in an Arabic-speaking community and teenage life in Australia
- make a comparison between teenage life in an Arabic-speaking community and teenage life in Australia
- convey information and express own ideas by selecting and incorporating particular linguistic structures, and make linguistic choices to enhance intended meaning
- demonstrate effective communication in clear and cohesive text by applying grammatical rules and conventions consistently
- apply knowledge of the conventions of the writing system.
