Jo has demonstrated sound knowledge and understanding of human interaction with the Antarctic. There is little evidence of environmental impact but the timeline includes some significant events related to the investigation of Antarctica. Information has been appropriately presented and the retrieval chart displays an adequate level of competence in applying the correct terminology in all areas except in relation to major stakeholders. This work sample demonstrates characteristics of work typically produced by a student performing at grade C standard at the end of Stage 3.

Students recognise various beliefs and practices and explain how these influence interactions with environments. They sketch, label and use maps, applying appropriate conventions and terminology.
