Other Work Samples for:

Jessie has demonstrated a high level of competence in using coordinates to represent and describe the position of objects on a map. A simple classroom map has been drawn and labelled using coordinates. A key has not been provided but the objects have been labelled to assist the reader. The locations of items in the classroom have been correctly identified using coordinates, and clear directions between objects on the map have been provided although minimal positional language has been used. To improve, Jessie could strengthen the instructions by providing more detail and using more positional language. This work sample demonstrates characteristics of work typically produced by a student performing at grade B standard midway through Stage 2.

Grade B

The student has a thorough knowledge and understanding of the content and a high level of competence in the processes and skills. In addition, the student is able to apply this knowledge and these skills to most situations.
