Other Work Samples for:

Alex has demonstrated basic knowledge and understanding of the structure and features of a recount. There is no evidence of planning and little evidence of editing. The text lacks a detailed sequence and a personal concluding statement, though an attempt has been made to reorientate the reader. Simple time connectives have been used but they are repetitive. Past tense has been consistently used. A limited range of strategies has been used to spell words. There is some inconsistency in letter size and slope. To improve, Alex should work on using capital letters correctly, broadening the range of punctuation and improving sentence structure. This work sample demonstrates characteristics of work typically produced by a student performing at grade D standard midway through Stage 2.
