Oral Reading - Jamie : Grade Commentary
Jamie has demonstrated a high level of competence in reading aloud. The reading is confident, expressive and mostly fluent with appropriate intonation and phrasing. There is evidence of self-correction and attempts have been made to decode unfamiliar words and make meaningful substitutions. Thorough understanding of both texts is evident in the responses to the literal and inferential questions. This work sample demonstrates characteristics of work typically produced by a student performing at grade B standard at the end of Stage 1.
Grade B
The student has a thorough knowledge and understanding of the content and a high level of competence in the processes and skills. In addition, the student is able to apply this knowledge and these skills to most situations.
