Mixed media painting - Jordan : Grade Commentary
Jordan has demonstrated an adequate level of competence in using a variety of artistic techniques to represent figurative forms. The treatment of the photograph reveals some subtlety and consideration in placement but is rudimentary in its integration with the encaustic paint. A clear representation of a figure has been made through the incorporation of a variety of surface techniques. Tonal subtlety and restraint in media use are evident, but the media has not been explored thoroughly. This work sample demonstrates characteristics of work typically produced by a student performing at grade C standard.

The student has a sound knowledge and understanding of the main areas of content and has achieved an adequate level of competence in the processes and skills.
