Speaking - Clothing Shop Conversation - Courtney : Grade Commentary
Courtney's answer covers the requirements of the task but communication is hindered by poor intonation and a lack of pauses. The students could have developed the conversation more – there is a lack of depth, no attempt to flesh it out, and a similar lack of spontaneity. However there is some understanding of the culture of Japanese-speaking communities. This work sample demonstrates characteristics of work typically produced by a student performing at grade C standard.

The student has a sound knowledge and understanding of the main areas of content and has achieved an adequate level of competence in the processes and skills.
