Flynn has demonstrated a thorough knowledge and understanding of the culture of Japanese-speaking communities and a high level of competence in communicating ideas in Japanese. The presentation draws on a range of vocabulary and linguistic structures but could be more coherent in parts. There is good use of kanji and katakana but minor errors with particles indicating time have been made. This work sample demonstrates characteristics of work typically produced by a student performing at grade B standard.
