Kendall, the shopkeeper, has demonstrated an adequate level of competence in oral communication. Relevant vocabulary and linguistic structures have been used to maintain dialogue. There is frequent hesitation and many pronunciation and grammatical errors have been made but a sound understanding of the cultural context is evident in the use of the polite form. This work sample demonstrates characteristics of work typically produced by a student performing at grade C standard.

The student has a sound knowledge and understanding of the main areas of content and has achieved an adequate level of competence in the processes and skills.
