Popular Film Review - Sascha : Grade Commentary
Sascha has demonstrated a very high level of competence in composing a film review. A purposeful investigation of context and a critical comparison between the film and the novel on which it is based have been provided. Aspects of the film have been analysed, although the focus is more on the acting rather than other techniques. The review is well written and fluent showing a clear sense of confidence and personal style and a perceptive and insightful understanding of audience expectations. An awareness of the process of composition has been consistently demonstrated and a solid personal evaluation has been included. This work sample demonstrates characteristics of work typically produced by a student performing at grade A standard midway through Stage 5.

The student has an extensive knowledge and understanding of the content and can readily apply this knowledge. In addition, the student has achieved a very high level of competence in the processes and skills and can apply these skills to new situations.
