A student at this grade typically:
- demonstrates detailed and extensive knowledge and understanding of factors that contribute to an Aboriginal person’s identity and the ways in which Aboriginal Peoples’ identities are maintained
- demonstrates detailed and extensive knowledge of the dynamic nature of Aboriginal cultures and cultural expression, and the importance of families and communities to Aboriginal Peoples.
- explains the importance of self-determination and autonomy for Aboriginal Peoples nationally and internationally.
- assesses the significance of Aboriginal Peoples’ contribution to, and interaction with, the wider Australian society.
- analyses how various factors influence attitudes towards Aboriginal Peoples and cultures, and the impact of these attitudes
