Nicky has demonstrated a very high level of competence in using relief printing practices and techniques to represent the subject matter of still life. The design is well balanced and an abstract, adventurous approach has been taken. A wide variety of cutting techniques have been used and a strong understanding of dry inking techniques is evident in the subtle surfaces. This work sample demonstrates characteristics of work typically produced by a student performing at grade A standard.
