Tunnel Patterns - Rania : Grade Commentary
Rania has demonstrated basic knowledge and understanding of geometric patterns. An accurate diagram has been constructed in Question 1 and the table has been completed using the recognised pattern, but the number of centicubes required for twenty tunnels has been incorrectly calculated. Rania has not used a systematic approach to obtaining the correct solution and an algebraic rule has not been provided. This work sample demonstrates characteristics of work typically produced by a student performing at grade D standard at the end of Stage 4.

The student has a basic knowledge and understanding of the content and has achieved a limited level of competence in the processes and skills.
