Marley has demonstrated sound knowledge of fractions and the application of knowledge and skills to familiar problems. Routine questions have been solved accurately but the multiplication of mixed numerals indicated that an incorrect procedure was used. The diagram showed limited transference of information and a word problem was not included. This work sample demonstrates characteristics of work typically produced by a student performing at grade C standard midway through Stage 4.

Grade C

The student has a sound knowledge and understanding of the main areas of content and has achieved an adequate level of competence in the processes and skills.
