Kerry has demonstrated extensive knowledge and understanding of the main features of life along the Nile. Detailed descriptions of the river and surrounding activities have been provided. The perspective of an official has been maintained through the use of empathy and an appropriate tone. The descriptive report scaffold has been very competently used and accurate conclusions have been drawn from the evidence. The report is well structured with strong use of historical terms and concepts. This work sample demonstrates characteristics of work typically produced by a student performing at grade A standard.

Grade A

The student has an extensive knowledge and understanding of the content and can readily apply this knowledge. In addition, the student has achieved a very high level of competence in the processes and skills and can apply these skills to new situations.
