Listening and Responding - Rania : Grade Commentary
Rania has correctly identified most items in the listening activity, demonstrating sound understanding of the main ideas and supporting detail. An adequate level of competence in expressing ideas in writing and applying learnt linguistic structures has also been demonstrated. There is some use of compound sentences with correct word order but inconsistent agreement of subjects and verbs. The capitalisation of nouns and use of the plural form are also inconsistent and the text deteriorates towards the end. There is some reliance on English but this is counterbalanced by stronger skills earlier in the piece. This work sample demonstrates characteristics of work typically produced by a student performing at grade C standard.

The student has a sound knowledge and understanding of the main areas of content and has achieved an adequate level of competence in the processes and skills.
