Riley has demonstrated extensive knowledge and understanding of the conventions of writing a fluent and persuasive letter. The clear and concise structure consists of well-structured paragraphs which contain relevant and appropriate information about Australia as support to the argument. Sophisticated language and persuasive techniques have been used effectively, demonstrating a clear sense of audience and purpose. This work sample demonstrates characteristics of work typically produced by a student performing at grade A standard midway through Stage 4.

Grade A

The student has an extensive knowledge and understanding of the content and can readily apply this knowledge. In addition, the student has achieved a very high level of competence in the processes and skills and can apply these skills to new situations.
