This composition clearly represents the topic and explores a range of 20th century playing techniques for the flute. The main focus in this work is tone colour and candidate explores pitch, rhythm and dynamics adequately. Candidate considers structural change and repetition, athough some ideas are unrelated. Clear performance instructions are given in a preamble and score is well set out.
