Taylor has demonstrated a thorough knowledge and understanding of the main feelings about being active. Taylor has thoroughly identified the effects of physical activity on body parts and systems. Positive feelings associated with participation in physical activity have been expressed. Taylor has shown a high level of competence in drawing on prior knowledge to link the importance of a healthy lifestyle and activity with the avoidance of heart disease. This work sample demonstrates characteristics of work typically produced by a student performing at grade B standard at the end of Stage 2.

The student has a thorough knowledge and understanding of the content and a high level of competence in the processes and skills. In addition, the student is able to apply this knowledge and these skills to most situations.

  • Fundamental Movement and Physical Activity
    Students apply movement skills in dance, gymnastics, games and sports, and practise manipulative skills in a range of minor games. They perform movement sequences with consistency and control and demonstrate cooperation, effort and practice in physical activity. Students demonstrate proficiency in the fundamental movement skills of static balance, sprint run, vertical jump, catch, hop, side gallop, skip and overarm throw through practice and application in different games and sports. They participate in physical activity and investigate how it contributes to a healthy and active lifestyle.
