Dale has demonstrated an adequate level of competence in creating, continuing and describing number patterns. Simple number patterns increasing and decreasing by twos have been created and some mathematical language has been used to describe them. To develop further, Dale could create more complex increasing and decreasing patterns. This work sample demonstrates characteristics of work typically produced by a student performing at grade C standard midway through Stage 1.

The student has a sound knowledge and understanding of the main areas of content and has achieved an adequate level of competence in the processes and skills.
