Other Work Samples for:

Morgan has demonstrated basic knowledge and understanding of the structure and features of a recount. Events have been logically sequenced and there is some flow of ideas but very little detail has been provided. Past tense has been consistently used but the language is simple and there is a lack of punctuation. The spelling of basic sight words is good and phonemic awareness has been used to attempt the spelling of unfamiliar words. To progress further, Morgan could include more detail, structure the text more appropriately and revise the use of upper-case and lower-case letters. This work sample demonstrates characteristics of work typically produced by a student performing at grade D standard midway through Stage 1.

Grade D

The student has a basic knowledge and understanding of the content and has achieved a limited level of competence in the processes and skills.
