Other Work Samples for:

Bailey has demonstrated basic knowledge and understanding of the structure and features of a recount. The text lacks an orientation but the events have been sequenced. The recount has been written as one long sentence with repetitive use of time correctives. There is a lack of punctuation but the spelling of most common sight words is correct. To progress further, Bailey could vary the use of time correctives, revise punctuation and work on consistency of size and shape in handwriting. This work sample demonstrates characteristics of work typically produced by a student performing at grade D standard midway through Stage 1.

Grade D

The student has a basic knowledge and understanding of the content and has achieved a limited level of competence in the processes and skills.
